‘Blind Light’ 2007

Gormley intends to play with human space. He uses fog to disorientate the spectator. The people who enter the space he has created become the artwork themselves for the people who are standing outside and observing them.

I find this piece very exciting seeing how fog can be created within a space and thus creating another environment for the viewers. I would like to achieve something like Gormley did. I want to change the perception of the viewers, too.

This piece tends to trigger emotions of the people inside the space. These emotions are mainly negative, feeling lost, enclosed, trapped..

It’s amazing to see how such thing as fog can do so much for the viewers.
