06/10/2015 Nonotak Studio Installations

Nonotak Studio Installation by Noemi Schipfer and Takami Nakamoto ‘Day Dream’. Projected light onto layers of textured surface and thus creating a 2D wall of light.

An installation piece that  examines the relationship between light, space and sound. Very interesting to see how you can create a dematerialised space and control it. Brings back thoughts of Minimalism and how light and spaces are its values. I myself too want to create spaces that contain projections and stimulate senses and ‘convey the relationship between time, space and reality’.

I hope to experiment with projections in the future as I have done at the start of second year with the geometric shapes and projections that would circulate onto the shapes.

I really enjoy working with new technologies and especially projections, I feel like they are generating an architecture wall of light in spaces which is very striking as we see light as a source of vision not something so solid as it can me made into.

This piece also reminds me very much of Thomas Craig’s one from last years module called ‘Art and Consciousness of mind’.
